Teams, Teens and Chess at the Library

The first annual Teen Chess Tournament at the Joel D Valdez Library was a huge success. Experienced local scholastic players joined forces with teams of teens from local libraries to compete in a four-round, team, blitz tournament. Many thanks to Aaron Valdivia, Aaron Moreno, Jenelle Wallace and Martha Underwood for helping  during the event.

Hi 9 Queens,

My name is Mary Dodson and with another staff member I am planning teen programs at the Woods Branch Library in Tucson. Aaron Valdivia at the Main Library told me that you staged a chess tournament there recently. I am wondering if you have any interest in assisting us in a similar manner at Woods? Thank you in advance.
