Girls’ Academy in Charlotte, NC

9Queens begins a Girls’ Academy in Charlotte, Saturday, November 8th from 1-4pm!  We will be meeting at Borders’ Bookstore near Southpark Mall in Morrocroft Plaza.  Women and girls of all ages and levels are welcome to participate, learn, and play chess!  Lessons will include a short history of women’s chess, analysis of new Women’s World Champion Alexandra Kosteniuk’s recent games, and tactics and puzzles.  Moms who say they don’t know how to play chess, now is your chance to learn how to beat and challenge your kids!  Girls are encouraged to feel confidence in their skills and to participate in more tournaments.  Please spread the word and join us!

A detailed flyer will be published soon.

For more information, please contact Jessica Martin at jmartin@9queens.org.
