Hey ladies: join 9 Queens and Bookmans at the Bookmans Low Lounge in the Girl Scout Resource Center on July 25 from 2-4 for free chess lessons. Women and girls of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend. This month intermediate and advanced players will be reviewing positions from the recent US Women’s Chess Championship in St. Louis. Beginners will play pawn and rook games while reviewing the rules and basic strategies. For more information email jhoffman@9queens.org.
